Quintel Intelligence develops the Energy Transition Model (ETM), a free online resource that allows anyone to discover possible energy futures. As part of our mission to further the discussion and decision making on the subject of energy, we are running an ambitious education program, together with GasTerra. We are looking for an intern who can help us forge relationships with educational institutions at all levels and market the available material.
We are working on an ambitious education program that spans the range from Primary School all the way to Post-master education. We want to reach 50 percent of all students in the next years. All the material developed for and by Quintel is freely available. We want to increase the impact of this material by making sure more people are aware of its existence and by learning more about their wishes and needs. Your mission will be to:

We will work with you to craft an internship that is interesting for you and for us. Your internship should be of sufficient depth and content for your school or university, yet contribute to achieving tangible results in use of educational material. We do require your active involvement in shaping the internship to your own interests and wishes.
You will be supervised by one of our full-time employees. Since we supervise about three to four interns each year, we have obtained plenty of experience with guiding internship projects.

Internships typically last for 6 months or longer. We do not encourage a shorter period since it will take a significant amount of time to get to know the field of energy thoroughly.
Our office in the center of Amsterdam. You will be allowed to spend some of your time at another location (e.g. the university) if required.
Interns receive a grant of 300 Euros per month. Travel expenses are reimbursed.

We help our clients answer questions like: "What does a climate neutral energy system for my area look like?". The ETM is used by governments, grid operators, consultants, NGO's, academics and others to research their options to bring down greenhouse gas emissions. Since the energy transition is a highly collaborative effort, the ETM is rapidly becoming a factual framework for discussions between various stakeholders in the energy transition.
Quintel develops the Energy Transition Model and is a Dutch company, with an office in the centre of Amsterdam. Our team gets the work done during office hours, so that we can enjoy our evenings, with the occasional after-work drinks.
