About Quintel

Quintel is a small and dynamic company with significant impact. Quintel advances the energy transition by providing others with insights into the energy system. Central to our approach is that we don’t assume ownership of a problem but rather enable others to gain insights themselves and then make progress. We do this through advisory work, research, and model development.

Quintel is the initiator of the Energy Transition Model (ETM). This online tool is used by thousands of users, ranging from governments and grid operators to consultants. They use this model to create realistic plans for an emission-free, affordable, and reliable energy future and then to share these plans. The ETM is regarded as the standard for energy system calculations in the Netherlands and beyond.
