About the Job
We are currently looking to expand our modeling team with a passionate
modeler interested in building or expanding their expertise in the field of energy.
What will you be doing/learning?
adding new functionality to the Energy Transition Model (ETM) and related tools and modules
making sure the ETM works correctly, tests are passing, parameters are up-to-date
helping to create new versions of the ETM for countries and regions all over the world
helping our many clients to create their own energy futures with the ETM by traning and supporting them
participating in cutting-edge research and consultancy projects with a focus on (application) of energy models
project management of projects related to improving and maintaining the ETM
co-authoring proposals together with more senior members of the Quintel team
and much more!
We are looking for someone who
has an excellent academic record and a master's degree
has from 1 to 3 years of experience in the field of energy or quantitative modeling
is passionate about both modeling and energy
is a creative, innovative thinker and has a "CAN DO!" mentality
is intrinsically motivated
works in a structured manner
enjoys problem solving and in-depth projects with a team of experts

many solar or wind plants would have to be built?". The ETM is used by
companies, governmental organizations and NGOs to
evaluate strategies dealing with the need to change the energy system
and bring down greenhouse gas emissions.
Quintel develops the
